Wente Vineyards is the oldest, continuously family-owned winemaker in the USA. It is symbolic of their commitment to the pursuit of quality that about 75% of the Chardonnay planted in California is a clone from the Wente vines, due to their yield and quality, developed over decades of dedication to propagating the best fruit. You could be forgiven for thinking wine with such an amazing pedigree would be expensive and exclusive, but it is almost the exact opposite. The Wente family is dedicated to making approachable, accessible, affordable wines that you can share with your friends and family just like they do with theirs.
