For most of its history, Napa Valley was covered with orchards where fruit and nuts were the main products flowing to grocery store shelves in California and surrounding states. Slowly, these farms gave way to the crop we identify with Napa Valley: grapes, particularly Bordeaux varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Due to the wise conversion to vineyards started by Dr. Lewis Gibbs Carpenter, the property was ready to take advantage of the meteoric rise of Napa wines after the Judgement of Paris in 1976. In the beginning the vineyard produced grapes for sale to other wineries, but what started as a personal project in winemaking has grown to one of the finest boutique, family wineries. National Sales Director, Lucas Walter, will be on hand to explore this fabulous portfolio with us.
The tasting is $65 per person and will include seven (7) wines and
a light supper (entrée, side, & dessert) created by Rebekah & Brandon.
