The Rhône Valley is known, world wide, for its high quality wines, dating back to the first century. The Rhône River runs north to south through the valley, many vineyards planted on its banks. Today, the Rhone Valley is a major player in the world of fine wine. The Rhône Valley is separated into two zones; the cooler north, and the warmer south.
